Día de la Constitución Española
WAITING FOR FURTHER INFORMATION
The Día de la Constitución Española (Spanish Constitution Day) is celebrated annually on 6 December throughout Spain, including in Nerja, as a national public holiday.
What is Constitution Day?
Constitution Day commemorates the approval of the 1978 Spanish Constitution, a pivotal moment in Spain's transition to democracy following the end of Franco's dictatorship. It marks the establishment of a constitutional monarchy and the recognition of fundamental rights and freedoms for all Spanish citizens.
Public Holiday Status
As a national public holiday, 6 December is a day off for the general population, with most businesses and public offices closed. It's an excellent opportunity to participate in local events or enjoy the festive atmosphere in Nerja.
This event is organised by the participating establishments and promoters. Nerja Amigos accepts no responsibility for the timings, services provided, or any changes to the programme.
