Maro will once again celebrate its Fair in honor of the Virgin of Wonders, taking place from September 5th to 8th, with a program of activities for all audiences. A local fair honoring the Virgen de las Maravillas with music, dancing, and traditional food.

The Feria de las Maravillas is traditionally celebrated around 8 September, coinciding with the feast day of the Virgen de las Maravillas.
Festival Highlights:
Religious Procession: A solemn procession of the Virgen de las Maravillas through the streets of Maro, accompanied by fireworks and traditional music.
Live Music and Dancing: Evening performances by local bands and dance groups, creating a festive atmosphere in the village square.
Children's Activities: Various games and entertainment options designed for younger attendees.
Cultural Exhibitions: Displays showcasing the history and traditions of Maro and the surrounding region.
Gastronomy: Stalls offering local delicacies, including traditional Andalusian dishes and sweets.
The fair will include a procession of the Virgin, musical performances by Somos del Sur and "Klandestinos" with their tribute to Los Delincuentes, Extremoduro, Fito & Fitipaldis, among others, as well as orchestras, dance performances, equestrian and sports activities, and gastronomic offerings.
The program includes activities designed for children and adults. September 5th will begin with the opening speech by Antonio Gallardo Moreno, "Antoñín el del Municipal," and the election of the 2025 Queen and Ladies.
September 6th will be dedicated to senior citizens, with the traditional lunch and the election of the 2025 Queen and Ladies.
September 7th will be the day of the floral offering.
September 8th will feature a Mass and procession of the Virgen de las Maravillas, which this year will pay tribute to grandmothers.

The festivities are centred in the Plaza de las Maravillas in Maro, a quaint village located just a few kilometres east of Nerja. The intimate setting allows visitors to immerse themselves in the local culture and community spirit.
