Please be aware: Nerja Market does not have an exact street address. To find it, follow Calle Cisne to the roundabout, where you’ll find the entrance to the market area.
The weekly Nerja Local Market is held every Tuesday morning at the market ground in Urbanisation of Almijara II, around Calle Mirto and Calle Cisne, and is a great place to stock up on fresh fruit and vegetables, browse clothes, shoes and bags, and discover everything from plants and household goods to local produce and market bargains.
The market runs roughly from 09:00 until 14:00, but timings are very much Nerja time! ☀️
If you're coming especially for fresh fruit and vegetables, get there early for the best choice. Not every stall starts at exactly the same time, though. During the hot summer months in particular, some traders arrive and set up a little later.
By around 10:30–11:00, pretty much everything is up and running and in high season the market can already be very busy.
Nerja Amigos Tip
Early bird: Come around 09:00–09:30 for fresh produce, first choice and an easier wander.
Full market atmosphere: Come around 10:30–11:00 when all the stalls are set up but expect more people, particularly during summer.
