Pasión Ecuestre Nerja 2026 -Nerja Equestrian Passion

is preparing to host the 6th edition of Pasión Ecuestre, which will take place on 11th and 12th April at the El Playazo beachgrounds. This event, now firmly established as one of the highlights of the local cultural and sporting calendar, is organised by the Departments of Popular Traditions and Sports, in collaboration with the San Isidro Equestrian and Carriage Driving Cultural Club of Nerja.

During the presentation, the Councillor for Popular Traditions, Elena Gálvez, highlighted the importance of this initiative, which reaches its sixth edition, reaffirming the value of equestrian traditions and their deep-rooted presence in the municipality.

Meanwhile, Vicente Santiago, a member of the club, outlined the programme of activities, which will include dressage exhibitions, various equestrian disciplines, and the participation of different types of horses and mules, offering visitors a complete experience centred around the equestrian world.

The Deputy Mayor, Ángela Díaz, also emphasised the commitment and effort of the club, reiterating the Town Hall’s support. She encouraged both residents and visitors to enjoy this event, which promises to combine tradition, spectacle, and a sense of community.

As in previous editions, Pasión Ecuestre will have the official authorisation of the Junta de Andalucía, all necessary permits, and the constant presence of a veterinarian, ensuring the welfare and safety of the participating animals at all times.

This sixth edition is, ultimately, a unique opportunity to experience equestrian tradition in a privileged setting, while also contributing to tourism and the continued vitality of Nerja.
