There are always debates about who serves the best paella in Nerja, but for us it’s about more than just flavour – it’s the convenience too. Sometimes you don’t want to watch the clock or risk arriving too late. At Moreno’s, you’re guaranteed to get a fresh plate of paella anytime of the day – it’s always on the Menu del Día.

It’s our family gem when we spend a day at Burriana Beach, and a favourite for our extended family too. The grown-up kids dig into the big pans of paella while the younger ones love the pizzas, and we often share plates of the Menu del Día all together, swapping bites of whatever’s come sizzling off the grill. They never have problems accommodating big groups either – we once turned up after the San Isidro festivities late in the afternoon with twenty people in tow, and there was no problem at all.

The location is perfect too – right by the sunbeds, with a kids playground, shops, toilets, and everything you might need for a full beach day within a few steps. You can order drinks or food without leaving your lounger – whether it’s a chilled sangria, a plate of sardines, or something sweet from the ice cream corner. With plenty of room for group lunches, birthdays, or lazy seaside meals, Moreno’s is the perfect spot for a fuss-free beach day with good food, good company, and no clock-watching required.
