INTERNATIONAL GUITAR FESTIVAL

Carles Pons/Antonio Molfetta

A double bill opens with a performance by the renowned guitarist Carles Pons, director of the Palencia International Guitar Festival. He has given concerts and masterclasses worldwide, and has also performed as a soloist with prestigious orchestras. The program, entitled "Arco Iris" (Rainbow), features pieces by Gerardo Matos, Sor, Tárrega, and Albéniz. In the second half, the internationally acclaimed Italian classical guitarst Antonio Molfetta presents a program of Spanish music, including works by Tárrega, Turina, Albeniz, and Joaquin Rodrigo.
