The competition begins with five flamenco singers from across Andalucía:

  • María José Abad Rosales (María José Abad) – Córdoba

  • Miguel Ángel Lara Solano (El Canario) – El Saucejo, Seville

  • José Miguel González Pérez (El Chiclanero) – Chiclana de la Frontera, Cádiz

  • Juan Francisco González Lara (El LaRa) – Málaga

  • Francisco Antonio Jiménez Gómez (El Canana) – Guillena, Seville

They will be accompanied by the competition’s official guitarist, Antonio Migueles, together with Manuel Sánchez (Arroyito hijo) and Isaac Santana.

Torre Del Mar Airshow

Get ready to look to the skies! The Torre del Mar Airshow 2026 returns to the Costa del Sol from 4–6 September 2026, bringing one of southern Spain’s most spectacular annual events back to the Axarquía.

The Festival Aéreo Internacional de Torre del Mar attracts aviation enthusiasts, families and visitors from across Spain and beyond, with the organisers reporting more than 300,000 spectators.

And best of all – it’s free to attend.

Three Days of Aviation in Torre del Mar

The festival takes place across Friday 4, Saturday 5 and Sunday 6 September, with training activity ahead of the main airshow.

Expect the skies above Torre del Mar to come alive with an exciting mix of aviation displays, with the festival traditionally featuring aerobatic teams, jet aircraft, historic planes and impressive examples of modern aviation technology.

The detailed programme and timings can change, particularly for training sessions, so it’s worth checking the latest information closer to the event.

Where to Watch the Torre del Mar Airshow

One of the great things about the festival is that you can enjoy the spectacle from along Torre del Mar beach.

Coming from Nerja?

Torre del Mar is an easy trip from Nerja, making the airshow a fantastic day out for anyone staying in Nerja or elsewhere in the Axarquía.

Be prepared for it to be very busy, especially around the main event. Leave plenty of time for your journey and finding parking, and arrive early if you want to choose a good spot along the beach.

NOTE: PARKING CAN BE DIFFICULT TO FIND SO SET OUT EARKLY OR TAKE THE BUS!

Bring water, sun protection and a hat, and don't forget your camera!

If you're visiting with young children, consider bringing ear protection, as some aircraft can be extremely loud. The organisers also recommend leaving pets at home because of the noise.

The programme features a wide variety of live entertainment, including musical performances in many different styles, flamenco, traditional Spanish copla, jazz, pop, Rociero choirs, dance, exhibitions, children's shows, magic and theatre, offering a diverse cultural programme for both residents and visitors.

INTERNATIONAL GUITAR FESTIVAL

Renowned flamenco guitarist Daniel Casares will open the first edition of the Guitar Festival Villa de Nerja on Thursday, 23 April. This new initiative, organised by the Nerja Town Hall together with the World Spanish Guitar Foundation, aims to bring exceptional evenings to Nerja with the guitar as the main focus.

Casares will present Guitarrísimo, the most intimate, personal, and refined work of his acclaimed career. This collection of compositions is stripped of the instrumental arrangements that have characterised his previous works, offering instead a powerful display of technique, virtuosity, and lyrical expression — a reflection of the artist at the height of his creative and interpretative maturity.

The prestigious guitarist from Malaga, Daniel Casares, offers us the most intimate, personal, and refined performance of his acclaimed career. This is a collection of compositions completely devoid of the arrangements and instrumental embellishments that characterize his earlier works. This composition represents a stunning display of technique, virtuosity, and lyricism, showcasing the artists full creative and interpretive matunty.

CANCELLED - The band was originally created as a support band for reggae artists at festivals, together with their singer Leroy Onestone (a Caribbean artist from St. Vincent–Grenada). They have performed at festivals such as Estepona Reggae, Marbella Reggae, Gibraltar Music Festival, Rototom Sunsplash (Benicàssim), and Beeston Festival (Leeds, U.K.).

Their show is a tribute to Bob Marley, performed with the utmost respect he deserves, taking the audience on a musical journey inspired by the album “Legend.” Their repertoire also includes great songs and hits from other classic reggae artists such as Dennis Brown, Shaggy, etc.

Jolís Brel- Singer, songwriter and guitarist from Granada, JOLIS, has prepared a show centred on the figure of Jacques Brel, surrounded by the great artists of his time such as Aznavour, Moustaki, Piaf, Bécaud, Ferré, Brassens, Trenet, among others.

Specialising in historic French music since 2003, he once again presents a monographic performance in French, full of lyricism and at the same time very entertaining.

He is accompanied by Walter Sabolo on piano and accordion, Marcelo Huertas on drums and percussion, Rafael del Castillo on bass guitar, and a special guest, singer Fanny del Castillo. All are directed by maestro Nicolás Medina, who also plays acoustic guitar and ukulele.
