“Celestia” Market
A family-themed market designed for all ages that will transform Plaza de España into a magical setting filled with light, culture and entertainment from Thursday 21st until Sunday 24th May.
The initiative, organised in collaboration with Malik Culture, will offer four days of activities combining artisan stalls, children’s attractions, interactive workshops and large-scale performances designed for the whole family to enjoy.
“With Celestia, we are turning Plaza de España into a unique meeting point that is accessible, dynamic and full of activities for families to enjoy together,” said Councillor Antonia Martín. “It is a strong commitment to creating quality events and a family market where everyone has their place, while also supporting local businesses and encouraging community participation in our public spaces.”
The event officially begins tomorrow, Thursday 21st May, at 6pm with an inaugural parade departing from the Balcón de Europa and making its way through the streets to the heart of the market in Plaza de España.
Throughout the weekend, activities will begin daily from 11am with the opening of the market and the giant children’s play area. Highlights of the programme include magic shows by Pablo Guillén, percussion sessions, belly dancing, street performances, puppet shows, interactive workshop tents, evening concerts and spectacular nightly fire displays.
The Town Hall invites both residents and visitors to enjoy four days of celebration, crafts and entertainment in a unique setting designed for sharing special moments with family and friends.
