San Antonio Festival in Frigiliana
The picturesque whitewashed village of Frigiliana, nestled in the Axarquía region of Málaga, will once again come alive in June 2026 to celebrate its beloved patron saint, San Antonio de Padua. This traditional festival, filled with devotion, joy, and Andalusian charm, is one of the most anticipated local events each year.

The main day of the festival is Sunday, June 14, with events centered around the saint’s day (June 13, which falls on a Saturday).
Daily Start Time:
Afternoons from 6:00 PM, when the opening rockets are fired and music begins.
Evening Events (concerts, contests, dancing) go on until midnight or later.

The festival begins with the Queen and Ladies of the Festival pageant, followed by live music and celebrations in the main tent (caseta).Friday & Saturday – Day and Night Festivities

Sunday, June 14 – San Antonio Day
Morning Romería: A scenic pilgrimage through Frigiliana’s historic streets, featuring San Antonio’s statue on a flower-decorated ox-drawn cart.

Night: The grand finale of the day – a fireworks display honoring San Antonio.
