Experience the Magic of the Feria de Málaga
Every August, Málaga comes alive with one of Andalusia's biggest and most colourful celebrations – the Feria de Málaga.
Held this year from 15–22 August, the feria commemorates the incorporation of Málaga into the Crown of Castile in 1487. Today, it has become a spectacular celebration of Andalusian culture, attracting visitors from around Spain and beyond.
By day, the historic centre fills with music, dancing, flamenco dresses, horse-drawn carriages and lively terraces where locals and visitors enjoy tapas, local wines and the festive atmosphere.
As evening arrives, the celebrations continue at the Real del Cortijo de Torres, Málaga's large fairground. Here you'll find beautifully decorated casetas, live music, concerts, traditional dancing, thrilling fairground rides and entertainment that carries on late into the night.
Whether you visit for a few hours or spend the whole day exploring, the Feria de Málaga offers an unforgettable taste of Andalusian tradition, hospitality and summer spirit.
If you're staying in Nerja, Málaga is just an easy trip away, making the feria a fantastic day or evening excursion during your Costa del Sol holiday. Forget the car, grab a bus and enjoy the fiesta!
