Fiesta de San Antón in Nerja (Maro)

The traditional Fiesta de San Antón in Maro (part of the municipality of Nerja) is held each January around the feast of Saint Anthony the Abbot, the patron saint of animals with blessings of animals, processions, music, and community events.

For 2026, many local calendars and festival listings indicate that the celebrations traditionally fall around mid-January, often 16 and 17 January, although exact programme details are usually confirmed by the town closer to the time.
