The Left-Handed Pianist

Manuel López performs solo piano pieces using only his left hand. After suffering focal dystonia and a stroke in 2018 that paralyzed his right side, he reinvented his career by mastering the piano exclusively with his left hand. On stage, Manuel creates a rich, full sound that mimics two-handed playing. To achieve this, he studies, reconstructs, and adapts the repertoire of great masters such as Bach, Chopin, Scriabin, Rachmaninov, Granados, and Manuel de Falla.
