Pastoral de las Protegidas - ADN Nerja

Directed by José Miguel Ortuño, this show stems from the recovery of over fifty local coplas (traditional songs) and Christmas carols.

It aims, among other things, to preserve their immense intangible value and—naturally—to honor their authors; through their lyrics, these creators bequeathed a significant part of their history, life experiences, and memories to the people of Nerja.

Figures such as Carando, Caracorcho, Blas, El Chiqué, Gallardo, Añejo, Garrido, Rojo, and Paco de la Juana will take center stage in a performance that seeks simply to return their history—transformed into music—to the local community.
