Veladilla de San Miguel 2025 – Nerja

From 19 to 20 September, the neighbourhood of Las Protegidas in Nerja comes alive with the traditional Veladilla de San Miguel.

This year’s programme includes cultural workshops, contests, children’s activities.

Music is at the heart of the celebration: performances range from local groups to the highlight concert by Los Marismeños on Saturday night. Pre-events, such as the Taller de Sombreros Flamencos (13 September) and the Concurso de Fachadas y Casas Puertas “José Alaminos” (18 September), set the festive mood ahead of the main weekend.

The Veladilla is one of Nerja’s most beloved barrio fiestas — intimate, colourful, and full of community spirit.
