Día del Turista


A celebration to thank visitors with music, dance, and typical food at the Balcón de Europa.

The Día del Turista (Tourist Day) is an annual celebration in Nerja dedicated to honouring and appreciating the visitors who contribute to the town's vibrant tourism industry. Traditionally held in September, this event features a mix of cultural activities, live performances, and gastronomic experiences, primarily centred around the iconic Balcón de Europa.

Friday, 26 September – Plaza de España

  • 11:00 – Opening of the “Mercado de Sabores” (Flavours Market) in Plaza de España

  • 20:00 – Opening Act: “Justito a Tiempo”

  • 22:00 – Grand Concert: “DE CAI”

Saturday, 27 September – Jardines de la Cueva de Nerja

  • 11:00 – Institutional Ceremony: “Tourist of Honour” and “Tourism Distinctions” 2025

Plaza de España

  • 11:00 – Opening of the “Mercado de Sabores”

  • 12:00 – Free guided tour of Nerja in Spanish and English, led by an official provincial guide. Departure from the Tourist Office.

  • 22:30 – Grand Concert: “MELÓN DIESEL”

Sunday, 28 September – Plaza de España

  • 11:00 – Opening of the “Mercado de Sabores”

  • 12:00 – Free guided tour of Nerja in Spanish and English, led by an official provincial guide. Departure from the Tourist Office.

The primary venue for the Día del Turista is the Balcón de Europa, a scenic viewpoint in the heart of Nerja, offering panoramic views of the Mediterranean Sea. Additional activities may take place in nearby plazas and streets, enhancing the festive atmosphere throughout the town.
