What Emil and Nils - young entrepreneurs full of energy and vision, yet already with an impressive track record - saw wasn’t just a hotel, but a place full of potential waiting to be realised - a space with strong foundations, an unbeatable location, and a clear sense that it could become something more.
They brought that vision to Benny and Niklas, owners of the hotel, and they immediately recognised the potential. Together, they stepped into a new chapter for the hotel, combining hands-on energy with a long-term perspective, and setting the direction for what Hotel Puerta del Mar has grow into today.
A Fresh Energy You Can Feel
This is not simply a renovation story, but a shift in atmosphere. There is more dynamic energy running through the hotel now - modern, clean, and thoughtfully designed, while still holding on to that Mediterranean warmth, relaxed essence that makes Nerja feel like home.
You notice it from the moment you arrive, not in one single detail, but in the way everything flows. The welcome feels natural, the spaces feel easy to move through, and there is a quiet sense that everything has been considered without ever feeling overdone.
