Tucked away at the very beginning of Calle Málaga, one of Nerja’s prettiest little pedestrian streets, you’ll find something truly special: The Soul’s Art – Boutique & Gallery. Among the Moroccan leather shops, this whitewashed house stands out – a boutique with a Mediterranean soul and a gallery that feels like stepping into another world.
More than a shop, The Soul’s Art is an experience – a place where art, jewelry, design, and energy come together. Three rooms and a sun-dappled patio invite you to wander, explore, and be surprised by the mix: shimmering jewelry, vintage and antique treasures, elegant dresses, unique interior pieces, and art that speaks directly to the heart.
Mother and daughter team Lotta and Felicia opened in 2020 – right in the middle of the pandemic. It was bold, brave, and exactly the right time. Felicia, a former professional dancer, brings her eye for detail and harmony to the carefully chosen collection. Lotta, with a background in TV, psychiatry, and spiritual guidance, curates the events and also paints – her hand-painted stones with thoughtful messages are scattered through the shop like little gifts waiting to be found.
Their passion shows in every corner: silk kimonos from India, kaftans that flow like water, dresses in natural fabrics, and jewelry from across the world – silver, gemstones, vintage, antique, handmade. Many pieces are one-of-a-kind, collected through travels to Thailand, Cambodia, Nepal, Morocco, and beyond. Every object has a story, every detail a touch of soul.
And The Soul’s Art is not only a boutique. It’s also a gallery and gathering place. The patio hosts art exhibitions, vernissages, and intimate ceremonies. Local and international artists exhibit here, and the yearly group shows are highlights on Nerja’s creative calendar. The gallery can even be hired for your own exhibitions and soulful events.
Lotta now also offers spiritual guidance and coaching from the boutique – something she has shared for over 30 years. In times when many struggle to find focus or trust their intuition, her sessions help people reconnect with themselves and move forward with clarity.
It’s a place where art meets life, and life becomes art — a Mediterranean corner of inspiration that invites you to slow down, wander, and simply be.
