Goa Town Indian & Nepalese Restaurant - The Best “Menu del Día” in Town
Strolling along Calle Los Huertos, it’s easy to pass by Goa Town Indian & Nepalese Restaurant without realising the flavour treasure that hides at number 48.
But as we all know, the best gems aren’t always staring you in the face, they’re the ones you discover, fall in love with, and keep coming back to.
And once you’ve found Goa Town, you’ll understand why it’s one of Nerja Amigo´s most delicious little secrets.
Run by extended family members of the Namaste team, Goa Town carries that same familiar warmth and kindness, yet with its own easygoing charm, a sunlit spot that locals adore for its hearty lunches, fragrant curries, and famously friendly service.
Step inside to find a cosy Asian-style indoor dining area glowing softly with warm light and gentle background music or take your seat on the outdoor terrace, where the aroma of curry mingles with the Mediterranean breeze. There is an entrance from Calle Huertos but also from the back by Carabeo car park, so easy to park nearby!
Three Menu del Días – Generous, Heart-Warming & Unbeatable Value
At Goa Town, lunchtime isn’t just about eating, it’s a full, satisfying experience.
They don’t just have one Menu del Día… they have THREE, and all are packed with authentic flavour, comfort, and care.
The first Menu del Día starts with a complimentary papadam and pickle tray, a cheerful, crunchy welcome that sets the tone for what’s to come.
Then choose your starter from crispy onion bhajis, golden samosas, or juicy chicken pakodas - freshly made and full of spice.
For your main course, take your pick from meat, vegetarian, or prawn dishes, cooked in one of four signature sauces ranging from smooth and creamy to bold and fiery, served with soft naan or fluffy rice, that comes again in different flavours.
The portions are wonderfully filling and generous, the kind that make you feel nourished rather than rushed, perfect for long lunches and slow conversations.
Then comes the second Menu del Día, a show-stopper: the Nepali Thali.
A beautifully arranged platter of rice, curries, vegetables, chutneys, and spice - vibrant, balanced, and deeply comforting.
It’s a meal that feeds both body and soul, made in true Nepali spirit and served with a smile.
And there’s more; Goa Town has an excellent vegan menu that goes far beyond an afterthought. From creamy coconut-based curries to fragrant vegetable masalas, everything is cooked with the same care and flavour. It’s one of the places in town where vegan diners can enjoy a full, authentic Indian or Nepali feast without compromise.
And the prices? Simply unbeatable.
When you see the size of the portions and taste the quality, you’ll wonder how it’s even possible. It’s generous, honest food at a price that feels like a little gift.
Flavours You’ll Keep Coming Back For
Within one week, we’d already been three times, a takeaway, a Menu del Día lunch, and dinner and every single time, it was spot-on.
Even the takeaway impressed us. It arrived quickly, with no extra delivery charge, and the food tasted just as good as in the restaurant, which is not always the case with all deliveries, where consistency can be tricky. Goa Town proves that quality and care travel well.
Our newest favourites? The Nepali Balti and Herbal Himalayan Chicken, deeply aromatic, perfectly balanced, and impossible to forget.
Having lived and travelled across Nepal and Asia for over a decade, we can honestly say Goa Town captures that sense of home, the warmth, generosity, and soul that defines great Indian and Nepali cooking.
When the Spice Urge Hits
Whether you’re after a relaxed lunch on the terrace, a cosy dinner indoors, or a comforting takeaway at home, Goa Town delivers, in every sense.
With two of the best Menu del Días in town, a thoughtfully crafted vegan menu, and prices that truly can’t be beaten, this family-run gem is everything we love about Nerja’s dining scene: authentic, generous, and full of heart.
