The Day of All Saints (Día de Todos los Santos) is observed in Nerja on Saturday, 1 November 2025. It is a national public holiday in Spain, dedicated to honoring all saints and remembering loved ones who have passed away.

Traditions in Nerja

On this day, families typically visit Nerja’s cemetery to pay their respects to deceased relatives. Graves are cleaned and decorated with fresh flowers—especially chrysanthemums—and often candles are lit, creating a peaceful and reflective atmosphere. While some Spanish regions hold night vigils, in Nerja the commemoration usually takes place during the day in a calm and respectful setting.
